Seattle Part 1

Last week we took a family vacation to Seattle.  We have always wanted to check it out and it turned out to be a lot of fun!  We fit a lot into the five days that we were there.  Our first stop was at the famous Pike Place Public Market.

The flowers were our favorite part of the market.  There were rows of huge, beautiful flowers and the arrangements were so cheap!  We actually went back to the market the afternoon before we left just to buy some to bring home on the plane with us.

After the market we headed to the Seattle Center for a view from the space needle.  The weather was beautiful that day so we had great views of the city.

Hayden was protesting picture taking for most of the trip.

Good shot of Mt. Ranier and the cityscape:

The next morning we headed back to the market early, mainly so I could get some coffee and a mug from the original Starbucks store which is right in the middle of the market.

Hayden loved looking at the fish that were all over the place.

We also bought some fresh made cheese from a local cheese maker (and got to watch the cheese making in progress), some locally made potato bread and a jar of organic peanut butter that had been roasted two days prior.
Then we stopped at the bakery and let Hayden pick out his own treat.  We ate lunch a couple of hours later at a local sea food place.  This was not a low-calorie trip, people!

And what is a trip to the Pike Place Market without some fish throwing?
