Here is a post I had saved a few weeks ago and never completed. A few pictures to last until the next posting. Which will probably be Hayden's High school graduation.
We had a great time in Florida and the kids both traveled well which is a small miracle in itself. Hayden was enjoying a couple of his new gifts right away: his new pjs, sleeping bag and plush Lightning McQueen from various family members. The first evening we were home Matt and I had fun putting Hayden's gifts under the tree.

Merry Christmas from Florida
We have been in Florida visiting family for Christmas. Yesterday we went down to Anna Maria island to hang out on the beach and have dinner. Florida has been experiencing record breaking highs for this time of year and the weather has been gorgeous. Yesterday was 75 and mostly sunny on the beach. A couple of people had made snowmen out of sand. Avery dipped her toes in the water for the first time and Hayden had fun throwing the frisbee, digging in the sand and racing up and down the beach. We all enjoyed the beautiful sunset.

Lewis Family Visit: the Final Chapter
One afternoon while family was in town we all went to the mall to let the kids play and get some lunch. We really needed to just get out of the house and there is nothing like a mall five minutes down the road to provide some good cheap fun out of the cold. As it turned out there was a Christmas train running through the mall and Beth took the big kids on a ride. Looks like they had a good time:
This next one is one of my favorite pics from the trip:
The night before they left we had a small birthday party for Hayden, who turned four! It was fun to be able to celebrate while family was in town since we have never been near family for one of his birthdays before. I made a dirt cake and he opened a few presents.
Avery partied so hard she lost her pants :)
Two days later, on his actual birthday, he opened some more presents from his Grandparents and Uncle. Pics of those to come shortly!
